Agricultural Engineer, specialist in Agricultural Economics (Polytechnical University of Madrid, Spain, 1983). He joins GIESA in 1989 after working in the Institute for Agrarian Reformation of Andalusia (Spain).
He counts with over 30 years of experience as consultant for companies of the agri-food sector. Building on a triple perspective (regional, national and Europen), he has developed its career working in investment support services (authorisations, grants…), R&D and innovation projects and in the recognition of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organisations and the management of its Operational Programmes.
He is currently the General Manager of the company.
Jaime de Benito Ontañón

Degree in Civil Engineering (1976), Degree in Business Management and Planning (1981) and MSc in Laws (1988). He joins GIESA in 1989 as expert in administrative law and in agri-food consultancy after having worked for the Agricultural and Fisheries Department of the Andalusian Government. He has been the administrator of the company between 2009 and 2019.
With over 30 years of experience in laws for the agricultural and agri-food sector, he currently acts as lawyer on the Environment and Water and as juridical consultant for Fruit & Vegetable Producer Organisations, among other functions.

Degree and MSc in Business and Economics (University of Extremadura, Spain, 1993). She counts with over 25 years of experience in the financial and administrative management of agri-food companies and in the management of Operational Programmes for Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organisations (FVPO). She joins GIESA in 2019 as consultant specialised in the recognition of FVPO and in the management of Operational Programmes.

He counts with abroad experience and training as consultant in areas related with the common agricultural policy and funds managing at Brussel’s delegation of the Agricultural Coperative Confederation of Spain, as well as advisor for the private sector.

Administrative Technician (Instituto OSCUS, Sevilla 2004). She started her career carrying out accounting and administrative functions in several SMEs. She joined GIESA in 2008, where she works as Technician for the management of Operational Programmes for Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organisations.

With 11 years of experience as direction secretary with administrative functions, she joins GIESA in 2017 as Technician for the management of Operational Programmes for Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organisations.

Miguel Ángel de Jaime Revuelta

Agricultural Engineer, specialist in Rural Engineering (University of Córdoba, Spain, 1998). Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (2003) and MSc in Energy Efficiency in Buildings (2012). He joins GIESA in 2005 after working for the University of Córdoba, the Andalusian Federation of Agri-Food Cooperatives, and the Head Services of the Andalusian Agricultural and Fisheries Development Company.
He counts with over 20 years of experience as consultant and engineer in investment support services for agri-food industries (permits management, legalisation, grants, project design, field supervision…) and in the assessment and management of renewable energy projects.

Degree and MSc in Laws (University of Granada, Spain, 1995). After 13 years of experience as lawyer, she joins the Andalusian Government in 2008, where she works until 2019 as Provincial Delegate for the Regional Ministry of Public Wors and Housing, as General Secretary of Land Planning and Climate Change and, finally, as Regional Deputy Minister for Development and Housing.
She joins GIESA in 2019, with 25 years of professional experience, to strengthen the legal department of the company. She works as lawyer specialised in Administrative Laws, the Environment and Investment Support.

Degree and MSc in Environmental Sciences (University Alfonso X el Sabio, Spain, 2001) and MSc in Integrated Management: Quality, the Environment and Safety and Health at Work (University of the Balearic Islands, Spain, 2011). He counts with broad experience and training as environmental consultant in areas covering environmental permits, environmental impact assessments, business sustainability, waste and polluted soil management, among others.
He joins GIESA in 2020 as consultant specialist in the environment, environmental proceedings and waste management.

Agricultural Engineer (University of Córdoba, Spain, 2004). Occupational Risk Prevention Technician (EOI, Spain, 2005).
She started her professional career carrying out and assessing R&D assays, to then be the manager of an agri-food cooperative. She joined GIESA in 2006. She counts with over 15 years of experience in agri-food consultancy, in public and private support for business, in R&D and innovation project design and management and in the brokering and management of business partnerships.
She currently works as Consultant specialised in grants and subsidies for the agricultural, agri-food and biotech sectors, among others, with a high level of knowledge of R&D and innovation.
Manuela Ortiz Espinosa

Degree in Human Resources (Sevilla, 1994). Occupational Risk Prevention Technician (CEREM, Madrid, Spain, 2003). She has developed her professional career in GIESA since 1987, when she joined the company as Administration Coordinator. She currently combines this role with tasks as Support Technician for R&D and innovation projects.
SUSTAINABILITY IN THE AGRI-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN
Training and professional career
Agricultural Engineer (École Supérieure d’Agricultures, Angers, France). Founder of Optiriego Consulting, he counts with over 15 years of experience in projects relating to efficient water use in agricultural systems in Spain, France, Middle East and North Africa for private companies and international organisations (French Cooperation, GIZ…).
He counts with broad experience in irrigation monitoring & control systems. Fluent in English, Frech and Spanish, he also understands Arabic.
He is currently the General Manager of OPTIRIEGO, integrated in GIESA since 2019, and a Consultant in sustainability and efficient water use in agriculture.

Degree and MSc in Environmental Sciencies (Pablo de Olavide University, Seville, 2006) and MSc in Gardening and Landscape (Polytechnical University of Valencia, Spain, 2013). She joins OPTIRIEGO in 2016 after 8 years of experience as Quality, the Environment and SCR manager in the berry sector.
She currently works as Project Manager, specialised in sustainability and efficient water use for the fruit and vegetable sector.

David Piñero Grande

Degree and MSc in Industrial Engineering (University of Seville, Spain, 2002). He started his professional career as process engineer and as International Development Director in the drinking and sewage water sectors, with experience in Europe, Africa and Latin America. He joins GIESA in 2011 to carry out the technical development of new organic waste management and valorisation projects.
He is currently the Director of the Campillos Biogas Plant and is responsible for the new waste valorisation projects at GIESA.
José Díaz

Degree in Industrial Engineering (University of Seville, Spain, 2008). He counts with broad international experience as technician responsible for the start-up, maintenance and management of sewage water treatment plants, with functions covering from the supervision and testing of equipment and facilities to personnel coordination and process control.
He joins GIESA in 2015 as Site Manager in the Campillos Biogas Plant.
